Project Location The Buford-Trenton Project is located in northwest North Dakota along the Montana border, in Williams County. The project lies along the Missouri River, just east of the confluence of the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers and stretches for twelve miles, southwest to northeast, between the towns of Buford and Trenton.
